When good research reads in the wrong order, readers miss the point. We help you rebuild the argument and sections of your own paper.
Tell us about your paper restructuring need. We reply within one working day.
Research paper restructuring is for drafts where the research is sound but the paper does not read well. The contribution may be buried in the discussion, results may appear in the methods, or the introduction may wander for pages before stating the question. Shodhyantri helps scholars reorganise their own manuscripts so each section does its job and the argument moves in a straight line.
Restructuring is different from proofreading. We work at the level of paragraphs and sections, not commas. We map what each paragraph says, find where the logic breaks, and suggest a new order. You then revise with our comments. The aim is a paper that an editor can understand in the first page and a reviewer can follow to the end without losing the thread.
Most empirical papers follow the IMRaD pattern: Introduction, Methods, Results and Discussion, with a conclusion and abstract. Each part has a role. The introduction builds from context to gap to question. Methods explain how the question was answered. Results report findings without interpretation. The discussion interprets them, compares with past work and states limits. Restructuring checks that each paragraph sits in the part where it belongs.
It also checks the argument across the paper. The research question in the introduction should be the one answered in the results. The contribution claimed in the abstract should be the one discussed at the end. When these drift apart, often because the paper came from a thesis chapter or several drafts, reviewers notice and lose confidence.
We write a one-line summary of each paragraph, which shows quickly where ideas repeat, jump or sit in the wrong section.
We help you rebuild the introduction to move from broad context to a specific gap and a clear question within a few paragraphs.
We help separate reporting from interpretation, so results are factual and the discussion carries the meaning.
The paper's contribution is stated early and repeated consistently in the abstract, introduction and conclusion.
We help you cut a long chapter down to one focused argument suitable for a journal's word limit.
We reorganise and edit; we do not add findings or claims. Your data, ideas and conclusions remain your own.
Ten stages, each with a clear output. Nothing moves to the next stage until you have reviewed the last one.
— You review every stage first, then decide —
Can the paper's research question be stated in one sentence and found on page one?
Does each section contain only the content that belongs to its purpose?
Does each paragraph follow from the one before, without jumps or repetition?
Are results reported plainly, with interpretation kept for the discussion section?
Is the same contribution claimed in the title, abstract, introduction and conclusion?
Does the restructured paper meet the target journal's structure and length rules?
Every stage is shared with notes explaining what was changed and why. You and your supervisor check it, and the next stage starts only after your go-ahead.
| Common problem | How Shodhyantri helps |
|---|---|
| Introduction spends three pages on background before stating any research gap. | Compress background into a few paragraphs that lead directly to the gap and the research question. |
| Results section full of interpretation, comparisons and citations. | Report findings plainly in the results, and move interpretation and comparisons to the discussion. |
| Discussion repeats the results instead of interpreting them. | Discuss what the findings mean, how they compare with past studies, and what they imply for practice or theory. |
| Abstract claims a contribution that the paper never discusses. | Rewrite the abstract after restructuring so it reflects exactly what the paper shows and discusses. |
| Paper converted from a thesis still contains several objectives. | Choose one focused question for the paper and remove or save other objectives for separate papers. |
| Methods mentions tests that are never reported in the results. | Make methods and results match: every test described is reported, and every reported result has a described method. |
Before restructuring, write one sentence on what the paper adds. Every section should support that sentence.
Summarise each existing paragraph in a few words. The resulting list shows the real structure quickly.
Start each paragraph with a topic sentence. If a paragraph needs two topic sentences, split it.
Close the introduction by stating the question, aims or hypotheses clearly, so readers know what follows.
Use the same order of sub-headings in methods and results. Readers can then match each method to its findings.
A short, specific limitations paragraph makes the discussion more credible than a vague or missing one.
Look at two recent papers in your target journal to see how they order and title sections.
Fix structure first. Polishing sentences that will later be cut or moved wastes time.
Your work is handled by people who read your field's literature, not by a single generalist.
A PhD-qualified specialist from your field who checks the research logic, gap and contribution.
Handles statistics, models and qualitative coding, and documents every analytical decision.
Improves structure, flow, clarity and academic tone without changing your meaning.
Builds and validates MATLAB, Python, ANSYS or COMSOL work where your study needs it.
Checks grammar, consistency, numbering, citations and the small errors examiners notice.
Applies your university or journal template, reference style and front matter exactly.
Proofreading fixes grammar, spelling and punctuation. Restructuring works on the order and role of sections and paragraphs, and on whether the argument holds together. Language editing usually follows once the structure is settled.
No. We map, diagnose and propose a new structure, then guide your revision with comments, suggested transitions and edits. Your research content, data and conclusions stay your own.
No. Journals decide through peer review, based on originality, method, fit and quality. A clearer structure helps editors and reviewers understand your work, but it cannot promise publication.
Yes. We help you pick one focused question, cut supporting material, restructure into IMRaD or the journal's format, and bring it within the word limit. Check your university and journal rules on reusing thesis content.
Some journals in humanities, law or review formats use different structures. We follow the target journal's instructions and recent articles to propose the right outline.
Not usually. Restructuring works on the text. If results and methods do not match, we may ask for your analysis output to check what was actually done.
It depends on the paper's length and how much reorganisation is needed. Share the draft and target journal on WhatsApp, and we will confirm a schedule including time for your revision.
We provide research guidance, statistical analysis, editing, formatting and training support. All research content remains the scholar's own work, in line with UGC and university academic integrity norms. We do not guarantee publication, acceptance, indexing or academic outcomes: journals decide through peer review and universities award degrees.
Share your topic, draft or data. We will tell you honestly what it needs, and what it does not, before you pay anything.
